The Minority Training Program in Cancer Research (MTPCCR) invites you to the Careers in Cancer Control Research: Summer Institute Program. The Summer Institute Program will showcase needs and opportunities for under-represented minority researchers in cancer control research, demonstrate the importance of cancer control research and the vast impact cancer has on minority and underserved communities, provide participants with an opportunity to interact and establish networks with accomplished researchers from similar backgrounds, showcase the diverse spectrum of cancer control research (i.e. access to care, behavioral research, advocacy, and epidemiology) so that participants can relate their own professional interests to the field and provide participants with the skills, resources, and support needed to apply to and succeed in a doctoral program.
