COVID STORYTELLING pROJECT Pt. i - social Media study
This mixed-method study is to document and illuminate the experiences racial/ethnic minority and vulnerable populations relative to the COVID-19 pandemic. We analyze publicly available social media posts (e.g., Twitter, Facebook) to hear directly from members of diverse vulnerable populations about whether they are experiencing inequalities or unfair treatment during the pandemic in their daily life, in accessing testing, or in accessing healthcare.
COVID STORYTELLING pROJECT Pt. iI - rapid assessments
This mixed-method study documents and illuminates the experiences racial/ethnic minority and vulnerable populations relative to the COVID-19 pandemic. Through this “rapid assessment”, we collect the stories people would like to share in a very short period of time during the COVID-19 pandemic of 2020.
Project REFOCUS: Racial Ethnic Framing of Community-Informed and Unifying Surveillance
Racism is a public health crisis – but what does that mean for practice? Project REFOCUS provides a real-time crisis monitoring system and educational resources for public health practitioners. These tools are necessary to adequately monitor the presence of social stigma and racism, and to support historically marginalized and disproportionately affected populations during public health crises.
